This position has become available to work within a fast-growing company based in Canberra.
We are a group of construction companies with common owners working on commercial and residential construction projects. We are looking for an experienced Payroll and Office all-rounder to join our flexible work environment and friendly team.
ROLE
We are seeking an Office manager / Payroll Administrator to join our team at our Symonston office.
This role is flexible. It would ideally be 30 hours per week but could be reduced to part-time. Work time will be based on a scheduled routine, with time flexible between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the onsite team, your Role and Responsibilities will include:
HR
- Onboarding new employees, including inductions
- Arranging project inductions
- Arranging training courses
- HR Correspondence
- Tickets and Licence Management
Payroll
- Reviewing time sheets
- Preparing weekly payroll using Xero
- Responding to payroll queries
Accounts
- Accounts Receivable
- Processing all invoices
- Monthly Reporting
Administration
- Fleet Management
- Safety Documentation
- Office Administration
- Preparation of site documentation
- Maintain Integrated Management systems
- Digital Filing
- General administration or other tasks as required
To be successful in this role applicants should possess:
- Experience with using XERO, including payroll
- Previous experience with a construction company is preferable.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business / Accounting are advantageous
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A keen eye for detail with an ability to multi-task
- The ability to manage their time effectively and prioritise
- Solid computer competence
- Fluent English, excellent communication skills both verbal & written
- Construction White Card (can be obtained within the role)
