Our clients range from high-net worth individuals to mid-sized companies. Our matters range from out-of-court to in-court disputes to drafting simple wills. There is no simple or easy day at BMS LAW.
The right candidate is someone who possesses grit, intelligence, common sense and has fantastic communication skills. This individual may not be the best law student during law school, but is definitely the one who isn’t shy to take up challenging tasks and is also the one who is always asking the questions when others don’t.
The right candidate will be provided with ongoing training and support to become an excellent solicitor with strong exposure in the field of dispute resolution and litigation. There will also be opportunities to develop drafting skills such as contracts and wills.
The requirements for this role:
1. Admitted to practise as a legal practitioner in Western Australia (and between 1 to 3 years post admission experience as a WA legal practitioner)
2. Strong/above average academic results during law school
3. Unrestricted legal rights to work in Western Australia as a legal practitioner
4. Must be able to attend at office location to carry out role (not a remote role)
5. Strong interest in litigation (court work)
Additional requirements (not absolutely necessary):
1. Internships/ work placements at other firms in Western Australia or other Commonwealth jurisdictions
2. Second language
3. Current WA driver’s licence and own vehicle or access to vehicle
4. Previous experience using Actionstep software, legal databases, MS word, Adobe Acrobat (training will be provided for legal management software)
5. Electronics savvy (good at using technology)
The successful candidate will be provided remuneration on a full-time (fixed) basis or part-time (fixed) basis.
