AddressIn this role you will be an experienced Solution Architect who specialises in a broad spectrum of Infrastructure technologies. You will join a specialised architecture team and will mainly work on business projects. To be successful you will need to be a good infrastructure generalist who is confident influencing stakeholders on proper governance standards for a heavily regulated industry.
This is a 12 month contract with view to extend for 2 years.

About you
- 5 years experience leading solution design & delivery across all aspects of infrastructure
- Strong ability to negotiate and influence - confident building relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with broad spectrum of infra tech (hosting, storage, networks, security, cloud, Windows/Linux, SQL/Oracle, integration, identity, etc)
- Ability to produce cost effective solutions, articulate architecture and get buy-in from the business stakeholders
- Banking/finance/insurance experience preferred
The role
- Engage with business and technology project stakeholders to gather requirements and develop IT infrastructure solutions that align to Westpac architecture policy and standards.
- Provide technical expertise and thought leadership relating to all aspects of technology infrastructure and infrastructure architecture.
- To facilitate financial rigor in the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions, balancing commercial and customer needs.
- Provide robust governance of business projects relating to infrastructure technology standards and patterns, and ensure the outcomes delivered balance technology policy with business requirements.
- Promote and drive a strong risk culture that optimises risk / reward, ensures risk and compliance are a key consideration in infrastructure designs & decisions and therefore, help achieve business objectives.
