About the role
We have a permanent full time opportunity for a Solution Architect to join the UGL IT team in the corporate head office in North Sydney. We would be thrilled if you’re already operating at the Architect level or if you’re currently working as a Lead Developer and you’re looking for someone to give you a break into an Architect role.
The opportunity
In this role you will produce designs across multiple technology platforms from on-prem to SaaS cloud applications, designing, documenting, and implementing secure IT solutions to best fit business requirements while aligning to company strategy and capability.
You will get involved in the cloud space, networking, integration and cross domain solutions. You will likely be a tech guru and jack of all trades, someone that enjoys designing solutions as well as communicating with stakeholders and documenting requirements.
You will have the opportunity to work across multiple industries including resources, utilities, defence, and transport sectors. As an example, the Country Regional Network project will require the Solution Architect to lead discussions across 3 customer teams, meeting the requirements of all 3, and aligning those requirements with UGL’s priorities and deliverables. This will mean understanding the rules of each team and using your ability to communicate and understand those needs to capture and document the core data and technical requirements.
