THE ROLE
Currently an opportunity exists for a Solutions Design Managerwhich sits within the Solutions Design team, servicing their contract Logistics business across the Asia Pacific region. Reporting to the National Head of Solutions Design and Engineering, this position will see you focussed on developing solutions within the business to meet their clients contract requirements with regard to supply chain.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensure the efficiency of data analysis and interpretation to recommend suitable storage systems, material handling equipment, processes and resources.
- Collaborate to identify the most suitable & efficient warehouses, and design layout based on customer business requirements.
- Conduct necessary reviews for validations/challenges of cost/risk
- Enable to deliver high end solutions from improved awareness and understanding of innovative concepts utilising the latest available and accepted technology (including automation, robotics).
- Work within a Standard Work Framework for Solution Design to ensure efficient solution design process are aligned to the businesses methodologies.
- Involve and work with internal teams including Innovation & Automation, Operations Excellence to deliver engagement programs
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Data Analytics, Data Science or equivalent paired with post qualification experience; OR significant industry experience
- Previous experience utilising Power BI is essential
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Power Platform products
- Strong data analytical skills
- Commercial and technical understanding of Contract Logistics.(Preferred but not essential)
- Excellent English communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
- Ability to develop operationally feasible solutions to meet customer requirements
- Excellent knowledge in calculating costings, and assisting with input for tenders and contract renewals
- Self-starter with positive attitude to overcome problems effectively and able to work under own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Possess solid persuasive skills when presenting the proposed solutions to the customer.
- A hands-on approach, with an ability to multi-task and work under time pressure.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel functions – VBA/VLOOKUP/PivotTable, and PowerPoint, etc),
- Knowledge about other Microsoft 365 Apps including but not limited VISIO/Stream/Power BI is a plus.
- Ability to travel interstate on occasion. (Ideal)
