We are seeking a Sound Room and Automation Engineer to join our Embedded Software team on a permanent full-time basis.
In this role, you will manage the ongoing maintenance and development of our acoustic & audiology test facilities at Cochlear. Additionally, you'll work on running and improving our automated test setups.
Some key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain clinical equipment, audio interface hardware and software, microphones and loudspeakers
- Design, install, and maintain cabling requirements for clinical and engineering configurations
- Document cabling and equipment configurations as required
- Develop training materials for Sound Room facilities and administer user access
- Identify and implement process improvements for Sound Room facilities operations
- Assisting engineers and other team-members with automated test setups
- Develop scalable and maintainable automated test agent setups to ensure efficiently
About You:
- Familiar with ProTools software or similar professional tools for music creation and production.
- Experience using and interfacing between computers and audio equipment such as audio analysers/generators, amplifiers, microphones and speakers.
- Experience within programming in C, C#, Python and/or other scripting languages.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline creation, configuration and maintenance.
- Skilled with cross-functional collaboration and problem solving.
