About the role
As the Sourcing & Contracts Manager, you are integral to the success of V/Line's Corporate Services Group.
You will manage the source-to-contract process, conducting rigorous sourcing activities to optimise V/Line's procurement spending opportunities and commercial outcomes, whilst maintaining alignment with business objectives, strategies and OH&S requirements.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Liaising with other business functions to analyse the scope of work and develop the required specification
- Facilitating and managing sourcing processes with stakeholders, conducting a rigorous assessment process in order to select the best supplier
- Leading complex commercial negotiations, to achieve value-for-outcomes
- Establishing Services Level Agreements with Key Performance Indicators and targets
About you
You are an experienced sourcing professional with a passion for achieving excellent outcomes. You have exceptional communication skills and enjoy building relationships with others. You are confident in your ability to manage a high volume of stakeholders and influence outcomes as required.
Our ideal candidate will also possess the following:
- Demonstrated alignment to V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
- Previous experience in strategic category and procurement lifecycle management, working in a large government or complex organisation
- In-depth understanding of the VGPB policy and procedures (desirable)
- Tertiary qualification in procurement, supply chain, business, finance or related fields (highly desirable)
