We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and commercial Sourcing Specialist to join our team, reporting into the ESC & Direct Sourcing Manager – ANZ.
At its core, the purpose of this role is to support the business achieve its financial and growth goals by providing key industry insights and analysis across a wide variety of categories including identifying and managing a supply base capable of delivering our strong innovation pipeline.
Key to success in this role will be your previous successful experience in a similar role, preferably in the Food industry, or other related FMCG industries and be excited to join a team who are eager to hear about your achievements and support you with what’s next.
Key focus areas for this role:
- Manage a designated portfolio of expenditure that may include Indirect’s and/or Raw Materials & Packaging, and apply best practice sourcing, supplier management and project management processes and principles for General Mills ANZ business unit
- Lead and manage key Innovation and Total Value projects that meet and/or exceed business needs
- Effectively engage with key stakeholders, both internally & externally, including senior Leadership to implement and execute strategies to ensure agreed business goals are met
- Identify and onboard new Suppliers to achieve General Mills financial and growth goals
- Act as Sourcing Lead in agreed core Innovation and Total Value projects
What you will bring:
- Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in sourcing / procurement / supply chain
- Results focused. Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, influence, and commercial acumen
- Strong knowledge of best practice procurement, and supplier management processes
- Experience in the Food / FMCG industry
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Sound problem resolution, judgement, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
- High level of analytical and research skills
- Strong project management leadership, knowledge, and experience (Stage / Gate)
- Commercial acumen, budget management, financial analysis, and cost modelling
