About the role
Are you ready to make a difference in our community? An exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled and experienced Family Violence Practitioner to join our dynamic team at South Western Centre Against Sexual Assault.
The Family Violence Connector role seeks to provide a more integrated and seamless service response across primary health care with a particular focus on General Practice, Community Service Organisations and Specialist Family Violence Services. This position will target key General Practice workforces at an organisational and systems level to improve early identification and intervention of people who are at risk of or who are experiencing Family Violence.
Position overview:
Part Time, Fixed Term position with immediate start (64 hours per fortnight)
12 month duration
Based at the Warrnambool Campus with some outreach and overnight travel
Salary Range: $92,523 - $101,691, pro rata - plus superannuation
About SWCASA
South Western Centre Against Sexual Assault provides therapeutic counselling services and support to children and adults who have experienced Sexual Assault and Family Violence. We also provide case management and intervention to children and young people displaying harmful sexual behaviours. The Family Violence Connector role will join our Family Violence service stream, reporting to the Family Violence Clinical Coordinator.
What you bring
The successful applicant will:
Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (Social Work or equivalent) and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the Family Violence sector.
Have expert understanding of the structural, theoretical, and therapeutic issues surround Family Violence is imperative, including knowledge and experience using MARAM and undertaking risk assessment and safety planning.
Possess expertise in project management, with demonstrated attention to detail with well-developed administrative and organisational skills to effectively manage and determine priorities, meet targets and deadlines, are all essential requirements for this position.
Have demonstrated experience in delivering presentations/training and understanding how quality improvement principles and processes can contribute to service quality and system developments will be highly regarded.
