Bass Coast Health (BCH) is the sub-regional health service for the Bass Coast and South Gippsland Shires, with sites at Wonthaggi, Cowes, San Remo.
In order to support our rapidly growing population, we're growing our services and the complexity of our organisation. This includes adding a new $115 million hospital expansion and renovated facilities to ensure we meet the increasing health care needs of our region.
Position Summary
BCH has been working with the Department of Health and our sub-regional and regional partners to increase our service capability. This will bring BCH up to a level 4 maternity and level 3 newborn service. Increasing capabilities will see Bass Coast Health opening a 3 cot Special Care Nursery (SCN). The SCN will care for newborns from 34 weeks gestation, providing the opportunity for families in the region to have their babies cared for closer to home.
Bass Coast Health provides a multidisciplinary service model working with families that will deliver safe, quality newborn care.
The Women & Families team are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Special Care Nurses and Midwives to join our team to provide exceptional care to our families and build a strong foundation for our Nursery.
Requirements of the position are:
- Valid Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- COVID-19 Vaccination in accordance with the Chief Health officer COVID-19 Mandatory vaccination Directions
- Flu Vaccination
