AddressOur client is a market leading firm with a national presence. They are seeking to hire an experienced risk and compliance lawyer to service their many lender clients. Your responsibilities will include ensuring clients comply with laws, regulations and guidelines set by government bodies and regulatory agencies. Advice on new financial products, structuring financial products so they comply with relevant regulations, developing and implementing and drafting policies to detect money laundering and financial frauds. Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
The Role
This role will suit a lawyer with a minimum of 8 years’ PAE who has experience of advising clients within the Financial Services industry in relation to risk, compliance and regulatory.
You will be a Special Counsel or Senior Lawyer at another mid or top tier law firm who is seeking a ‘step up’ and is looking for partnership in the short term. An unrestricted practicing certificate is essential and the demonstrated ability to build and manage client relationship, however a client following is not necessary.
Knowledge of AFSL and/or ACL requirements are an absolute must. This opportunity is extremely unique and is not rivalled by any other firm.
