Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
n this role, you’ll support in managing our Commercial Property Portfolio and will implement portfolio strategies. This involves equipping teams with the necessary tools and knowledge for success, ensuring the long-term profitability and sustainability of the portfolio. You'll be working cross-functionally (with Pricing, Product, Underwriting, Distribution, Reinsurance, Claims and others) and will assist with developing technical reference material for distribution channels, undertake product reviews and have input into product development, assist with pricing reviews, assist the underwriting team with account referrals and technical advice, etc. You’ll also help monitor the portfolios performance, recommend changes to ensure portfolio and business targets are achieved, and support the wider team as required.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity, and you can be based at any of our offices, in New Zealand.

To be successful in this role you’ll need to have experience in the following areas:
• Extensive general insurance experience
• Specific expertise in product and policy wording development
• 5 + years' experience in Commercial Property underwriting
• Proficient in negotiating and influencing stakeholders.
• Goal-focused, forward-thinking, and committed to achieving objectives.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong commercial acumen.
• Understand business issues and maintain a business focus.
• Skilled in resolving complex issues with sustainable outcomes.
