It's made up of underground and surface operations and operates a fully integrated processing facility from ore to metal.​Come and be a part of this success.About the RoleThe Specialist Commissioning role forms an integral part of the BHP project execution team and will contribute to the preparation and implementation of commissioning strategy/plans on a selection of projects within a diverse portfolio. They will provide commissioning inputs and technical expertise to manage commissioning in line with approved project plans, to deliver the safe and timely testing and turnover of new infrastructure.Reporting to the Lead Commissioning your accountabilities will include:

  • Providing commissioning planning expertise and performing or coordinating commissioning resources to safely and effectively execute activities on assigned projects.
  • Ensure an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental and community responsibility is maintained throughout Commissioning activities.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of Project documentation and functional processes, methodologies, and systems.
  • Ensuring commissioning standards, processes, methodologies, and systems are diligently applied on assigned projects.
  • Developing and implementing equipment turnover processed from construction contractors and to operations stakeholders.
  • Providing regular reporting and presentation material to line and project leaders for each project.
About YouAs a successful candidate you will possess the following:
  • Demonstrated field-based commissioning experience.
  • A tertiary qualification in engineering or trade qualification, with relevant experience in project development and delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Proactive, credible, and influential, you relate well with people, communicating confidently and building strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Technical proficiency across a broad range of engineering disciplines.
  • Experience of Construction and Commissioning Completions systems.
  • A good understanding of contracts and procurement practices as well as Vendor and contractor management experience.
  • A performance and achievement orientated professional, your technical strengths will be complemented by excellent engagement and communication skills.
Location and RosterInitially this role will be based in Adelaide on a 5D2X roster for approximately 6 months. Transition to site based at Olympic Dam on Fly-in and out roster.A role at Olympic Dam allows you to balance your work and family commitments, with the flexibility to change these as your life evolves.
