About the Role


The Specialist Scheduler is responsible for the compilation of work packages into a single weekly schedule for each operation which satisfies the scheduling constraints of the operations infrastructure, while also maximising utilisation of execution resources, ensures the safety of our people, minimises downtime, waste and cost. In addition, you will lead new initiatives and projects that will deliver a step change in our team performance.


Reporting to the Superintendent Scheduling, you will play an integral role by:
 

  • Maintaining an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development.
  • Scheduling planned work in accordance with the work management processes to produce an optimised maintenance plan for the maintenance of mobile equipment.
  • Monitoring, controlling and improving weekly work management processes, with a focus on root cause analysis and problem solving to support continuous improvement.
  • Improving master data and implementing automation to support maintenance strategy accuracy and efficiency.
  • Facilitating meetings with site stakeholders and being a lead contact for escalation of issues.

This position is offered as Monday to Friday, with the opportunity for flexible work arrangements.

About You


As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • A positive proactive attitude towards problem solving.
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills are required to influence stakeholders in the delivery of positive business outcomes.
  • Strong facilitation skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The ability to manage and drive performance in a peer group.
  • A passion for challenging the status quo and a DNA for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning or scheduling.
  • A background in mining, maintenance, mineral processing, engineering, technology or similar is preferable but not essential.
