Come and be a part of this success. About the Role The Fixed Plant Maintenance team are seeking interest for a permanent position to the role of Specialist Trainer at Newman Operations. The opportunity is a residential or FIFO position based in Newman, working on an 8/6 shift roster. Alternate rosters can be discussed for successful applicants. Responsibilities include: • Demonstrate commitment and conformance to the BHP Charter, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.• Liaise with the Fixed Plant Maintenance, Processing & Mobile Equipment Maintenance Superintendents, Coordinators and Supervisors on technician training requirements.• Review performance of equipment/personnel and implement training in line with business drivers.• Ensure technical training of the Fixed Plant Maintenance, Processing & Mobile Equipment Maintenance departments is implemented as planned.• Ensure training materials are developed and updated in line with WAIO standards.• Participate and support the Operator Driven Reliability initiatives.• Work with the Coordinator in the creation of training budgets.• Present changes to policy, procedure or equipment on an as needed basis.• Ensure training activities comply with the relevant Safe Work Procedures and statutory requirements.• Assist in identifying and implementing initiatives that contribute value to the business. About You Skills and Experience: • Hold a Training and Assessing Certificate IV TAE qualification (TAE40116/ TAE40122 or equivalent)• Have a broad knowledge of Process Plant & Surface Mobile Equipment (preferred)• Have previous experience in high-risk activities - LF, WP, DG (preferred)• You will have an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable• Truly inspire people to engage and be part of a high performing team• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence effectively• Sound knowledge of Risk Management systems and processes• Experience with SAP/1SAP is highly regarded About Our Process At BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
