We’re now accepting applications for a Coffee Roasting position.
You’ll be working alongside Aaron (owner) to lead the Production Roasting part of the business.Including but not limited to:
- Production roasting
- Fine tune roast profilesCreating new coffee - roast profiles
- Cupping
- Flavour note profiles
- Sourcing green beans
- Sample roasting
- Planning production roast days
- Receiving pallet deliveries with walkie forklift (no license required)
- Stock management, ie- ordering, organising pallet storage & warehouse bulk storage area
- Assisting in order checking and dispatching online orders
- Roasting will be 3 to 3.5 days; additional responsibilities may include but not limited to, barista shifts or cafe deliveries, (this will be dependant on the needs of the business and the skillset you bring to the team)
Working in a small production team, at Slide Coffee Roasters in Coolum Beach.Working with high quality coffees, single origins (filter & espresso), and high quality blends. Full Time position (38 hours)Start Date: Immediately or a near date if needing to give notice to current employerRequirements:
- Two years minimum roasting experience, working as a production roaster for a roasting company
- Drivers License
- Basic Barista skills
- Cupping experience
- Basic computer/admin skills, spreadsheets ect
- Intention to commit for two years
Helpful but not necessary:
- Forklift license or experience
- Wholesale Cafe sales/account management
- Experience working with a Specialty Coffee Roaster/Cafe
- Q-Grading certification/training
