About The Role:
- Casual positions available
- Collect pathology specimens from patients in our collection rooms, hospitals and as part of domiciliary services within the North West region
- Store and process pathology specimens
- Patient reception and response to client enquiries
- Record patient information
- Attend to the well-being of patients
- Liaise with patients and referring doctors
- Use of laboratory application software
* This is not a courier position
Selection Criteria:
- Flexible availability to work Monday to Friday, weekends and public holidays at short notice
- Able to commit to an intensive training program for up to 6 weeks full time in Burnie
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence
- Exceptional skills in applying attention to detail
- The ability to work co‑cooperatively and encouragingly within a team
- Proven ability to act independently within established guidelines, demonstrating initiative and sound judgement
- A current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
- Provision of (or ability to obtain) a WWVP card and a satisfactory current police check
- Previous phlebotomy experience will be considered an advantage
