Specimen Collector (Phlebotomist)

We are seeking individuals with exceptional communication skills and professionalism to join our team on a casual basis.  

About The Role:

• Casual position
• Collection of pathology specimens from patients in our collection rooms, hospitals and as part of domiciliary services 
• Store and process pathology specimens
• Patient reception and response to client enquiries
• Record patient information
• Attend to the well-being of patients
• Liaise with patients and referring doctors
• Use of laboratory application software
• Extensive training will be provided to the successful candidate

*Please note that this is not a courier position

Selection Criteria:      

1. Flexibility to work rostered shifts commencing from 7.00am Monday to Saturday, and Sunday and public holiday work as required. 
2. Able to commit to full time training program (6 - 8 weeks depending upon experience)
3. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence
4. Proven ability to act independently within established guidelines, demonstrating initiative and sound judgement
5. Exceptional skills in applying attention to detail
6. A current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
