Specimen Collector (Night Shift Phlebotomist)

Status: Part time - minimum 24hrs per week (11pm - 7am)

Department: Specimen Collection

Role Summary: Seeking an overnight phlebotomist to work within a hospital setting for a minimum of 3 nights per week

About The Role:

• Collection of pathology specimens from patients 
• Store and process pathology specimens
• Patient reception and response to client enquiries
• Record patient information
• Attend to the well-being of patients
• Liaise with patients and hospital staff
• Use of laboratory application software
•  
• Extensive training will be provided to the successful candidate

*Please note:  This is not a courier position

Selection Criteria:      

1. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence
2. Ability and willingness to work consecutive Night Shifts
3. The ability to work co‑cooperatively and encouragingly within a team
4. Proven ability to act independently within established guidelines, demonstrating initiative and sound judgement
5. Exceptional skills in applying attention to detail
6. A current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
