About the Role

Reporting to the Allied Health Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in helping NDIS participants improve their independence and quality of life. Collaborate with others to ensure holistic and comprehensive care for our clients.

You will have outstanding prioritisation skills and the ability to work to arrange your schedule sufficiently. Your written and verbal communication skills will be advanced, and you’ll be confident in your computing/software skills.

Skills & Experience

• Conduct assessments to develop individualised therapy plans
• Establish and implement Mealtime Management plan
• Assess and recommend AAC and implement training and utilisation plans
• Maintain current knowledge of and apply evidence-based practices 
• Complete complex reports including NDIS plan review reports
• Engage positively with and deliver education to clients, stakeholders, family members and frontline staff
• Conduct regular review of therapy outcomes for clients and adjust as required  
• Deliver services in varied modes: face to face, remote, and Telehealth.

Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in applied science (Speech Pathology)
• Minimum 2 years post-grad experience working with a range of clients 
• SPA membership
• First Aid Certificate
• Driver Licence and Comprehensively Insured Vehicle
• NDIS Worker Screening Check 
• Working with Children Check
• Evidence of COVID-19 Vaccination (minimum two doses)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with diverse participants and stakeholders
• Expertise in conducting varying assessments, recommending AAC and writing complex reports.

Your application will be highly regarded if you can demonstrate experience supporting NDIS participants with disability and/or mental health (highly regarded) , and a good understanding of the NDIS Framework and Practice Standards.
