AddressFirst Step Support Services is looking to expand, and we are looking for a very specific person to fill the role available!
We are looking to bring on board an amazing Speech Therapist to work with our families, specifically paediatric participants under the age of 16. The role will be a mix of mobile/home visits/school visits/and WFH. Days & hours are completely flexible and designed to work with you. The role will include working in a multidisciplinary team with young people at the heart of our care, and producing comprehensive care plans and strategies.
You will perform the following duties as required:
- Work collaboratively with participants to encourage choice and control, and respect participants rights to dignity, privacy, independence and respect.
- Support participants to implement their NDIS goals in relation to Speech Pathology
- Consistently meet KPI targets
- Work collaboratively with other service providers within the context of care teams.
- Operate within relevant legislation, NDIS policies and procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain timely and accurate case notes.
- Maintain participant files & profiles
We may also assign you other duties, where reasonable for your position, training and experience.
You would also need:
- Bachelor Degree qualification or above in Speech Pathology
- Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Childrens Check
- 1+ year of paediatric experience
- Preferably experience working with Neurodivergence, and ability to provide a neuroaffirming and trauma informed approach.
- First Aid & CPR
- COVID Vaccination
- Current valid drivers license & insurance
