Position Description
We are looking for a standout Speech Pathologist who is passionate about their ‘Speechie genius zone’ and loves working with children and/or those with a disability.
Experience is preferred however we welcome Early Career Therapists to apply.
This is an exciting position for MindFlare as we round out our services to integrate more multi-discipline team members.
The position will involve assessment and intervention services for clients with communication challenges and work collaboratively with families and relevant agents as needed.
The role is based in our Oran Park office and our usual hours of operation are 9:30am - 5:30pm; Monday-Friday and 9:00am - 5:00pm on Saturdays. We sometimes are required to do local school observations and appointments, but this is assessed on a case by case basis.
We pride ourselves on flexibility and work-life balance, so we are receptive to flexible work arrangements such as part time and work from home options where our services can allow.
We nurture our team through regular group supervision, professional development and social events with a focus on staff wellbeing and feeling valued as part of our awesome team.
We may provide the successful applicant to access external relevant supervision as needed and CPD allowances to support their career growth and development.
Mandatory requirements 📋 (our core needs)
- Bachelor of Speech Pathology or (equivalent recognised by Speech Pathology Australia)
- Valid Police Check
- Current Working with Children Clearance
- Drivers License and ability to use a personal vehicle
- Eligibility for Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- NDIS worker's orientation screening (or willingness to complete)
- Child Mandatory Reporting Training (or willingness to complete)
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to complete)
What will make you stand out 🌟
- Established experience in speech pathology assessment and report writing
- Knowledge of NDIS and the processes required to support participants including plan reviews and application processes
- Ability to work within a team environment whilst also being capable of working independently and with autonomy
- Able to demonstrate initiative with a focus on excellent customer service to clients and external agents.
- Ability to communicate effectively with excellent organisation skills
- Excellent spoken, written and interpersonal skills.
- Exposure to online health practice software is an advantage but not essential
