Working as part of the ASD clinic team, and reporting to the Child Health Team Leader you will be responsible for:

  • Working specifically with children and families referred from their Paediatrician for an ASD Assessment.
  • Assessing and reporting on the child’s language skills including an ADOS assessments with a psychologist.
  • Working in partnership and collaboration with the professionals who are supporting the child/family, to provide a timely and developmentally appropriate service and support. 
  • Ensure the standards of the Speech Pathology service provided is based on current best practice in accordance with relevant evidence-based Speech Pathology research and the Speech Pathology Australia - Code of Ethics.

The successful candidate will have:

  • ADOS qualifications and well-developed ASD assessment clinical skills.
  • Experience working as a Speech Pathologist working with children, youth, families and other stakeholders is essential.
  • The relevant tertiary qualifications and Registration as a Speech Pathologist.

The fine print

  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, International Police Check (if applicable), hold a valid WWCC.

  • Full driver license and travel between sites required.
