Your New Practice
A professional allied health service that values being able to provide client-centred, evidence-based assessments and interventions for their clients. They work alongside their clients and their families to achieve in all areas of daily life. Their services include occupational therapy, speech pathology, exercise physiology and dietetics.
Their holistic practice works collaboratively with other community agencies and is responsive to clients’ requirements.
They offer a range of approaches to meet the needs of their clients. These may include home, school and daycare visits and a wide range of group programs.

Your Next Director
A warm, approachable, and enthusiastic leader who wants to see her team thrive. As a busy mom, your next director understands the importance of work-life harmony. An Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience working with children with developmental delays and disabilities.

Your New Role:
The role is full-time however, part-time may be considered. Newly graduated and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. Hours may be varied according to service demands in consultation with the staff member. Professional development is encouraged and supported, and supervision is provided by an experienced clinician during work hours.
  

  • Assessing, developing and implementing interventions and programs for children and young adults with developmental delays and disability
  • Providing goal-orientated plans with measurable outcomes
  • Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on client progress 
  • Working in a culturally sensitive manner
  • Servicing a varied, largely paediatric, caseload
  • Teaching and supporting Allied Health Assistant
  • Working in a range of settings, including clinics, homes, schools, telehealth and childcare centres and at our well-resourced clinic
  • Manageable caseloads and planning time/administration time included in the position
  • Regular professional support and mentoring provided
  • Competitive salary dependent on experience 
Your Profile:
To succeed in this role:
Your highly developed verbal communication skills show your ability to communicate health and medical concepts and solutions to a wide audience;
You have demonstrated experience in building and managing effective working relationships and networks;
Your strong client and customer service skills enable you to identify and deliver client's needs;
You have high-level organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet timeframes;
You can demonstrate your ability to maintain professional competence and integrate new teachings and techniques into practice and service delivery.
As well as this, you will have:
  • Registered with Speech Pathology Australia or due for registration;
  • Overseas applicants are considered for the role; you should have completed a skills assessment in terms of Speech Pathology Australia requirements;
  • Registered with Medicare or eligible to register with Medicare for a Provider Number;
  • Western Australian Working with Children Check and WA Department of Education provider screening/NDIS provider screening; 
  • C Class driving license.
