How you will make an impact Join our Speech Pathology team at Cabrini Malvern to provide assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders for adults across the continuum of care. Key responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of adults with communication and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to address communication and swallowing difficulties.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide interdisciplinary care to patients.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Participate in ongoing professional development and stay up-to-date with current research and best practice guidelines in speech pathology.
About you The Speech Pathologist is responsible for working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals while also demonstrating the ability to work independently in providing assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders. The successful candidate will contribute to the patient experience through their proactive and approachable nature, and will stay updated with current research and best practice guidelines in speech pathology. You will have:
Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in a hospital setting
Experience in the assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders in adults
Excellent time management skills and flexibility
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
