With expansion planned for 2024, multiple roles are available for New Grads through to Senior Speech Pathologists across Brisbane.
The difference you can make as a Speech Pathologist, both day to day, and working with your clients on a long term basis, can be profound.
The key word in that sentence is 'can'.
Without the right support from leadership, peers to bounce off, the right admin team to have your back, commensurate remuneration and a focus on clients first at all times - the can becomes a can't.
We all have different needs and will thrive in different conditions - knowing what works for you is crucial to achieving the outcomes you want for your clients and helping you to feel fulfilled in your role.
If you know exactly what you are looking for, but are looking at every job ad and lowering your bar in the first paragraph, you're doing yourself a disservice.
Keep your bar high. The right role is out there. The right team is waiting for you.
This could be that role.
Joining this team you will find that the focus is in the right place. The numbers expected from a clinician on a day to day start at a point that is; achievable, driven by the needs of the clients, understanding of the bumps along the way and sustainable. That last part is important - this organisation understands the challenges of the role and works very hard to keep the whole team moving without creating burnout. The team culture is something that everyone contributes to here, and as such they are looking for clinicians to join who are aligned with the values and place equal importance on how they conduct themselves with their clients as well as the wider team. Community, team sharing, peer learning, mutual respect and a caring consideration, all create the environment that keep this team close and the invite is out to all those who feel they contribute.
On a day to day you will have the opportunity to be working in a clinic, mobile or hybrid setting across a paediatric caseload. We strongly encourage all to have an element of clinic based work to stay connected to the team - however fully mobile roles may be considered for the right candidate. The specific age and area of speciality of your caseload can be catered to your specific experience and areas of interest including; speech, language, swallowing, school age, infant etc. A large portion of the mobile work is involves school visits and candidates with experience in a schools getting will be highly regarded. Private Practice experience and familiarity with NDIS is also very highly regarded and those coming primarily from this setting, interested in exposure to a school environment, will be given every opportunity for it.
To join this team you will bring:
- A degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent
- Current registration with SPA (or on the path to completing)
- Availability of 3 - 5 days per week (PT or FT)
- Experience with a Paeds caseload (New Grads with a Paeds placement)
- Current QLD drivers licence (for mobile clinicians)
Frontline Health will be speaking to all applicants for initial discussions about the role, moving through to face to face interviews in the coming weeks. If you are interested in understanding more about the role, and your suitability for this team, please call Ben on 0424 192 ***.
