This is the perfect time to join our Dapto and Wollongong team, there's lots happening! 

Soon, our new purpose built centre will be completed and we are so excited to be able to offer therapy to more customers and support more of our families! Our customers helped shape the building design, and we are looking forward to the grand opening!

If you are ready for your next adventure, and want to work in a brand new purpose built centre at Dapto for one of Australia's biggest disability service providers, we want to hear from you! You will provide therapy from our new centre as well as in schools, and the community. We pride ourselves on our careful planning of appointments with reasonable travel.

Our multi-disp approach not only provides support for our customers and their families, but also for you as a therapist, from your peers, administration and leadership team - but also the wider clinical services group including our Support Practitioners, Social Workers and Support Coordinators. We are across NSW, QLD and the ACT.

In this role you will:

  • Provide a high-quality Speech Pathology assessment and intervention service that is evidence based and solutions focused.
  • Manage a mixed caseload with complex and varied needs.
  • Be able to work with customers of all ages, their families and carers to identify strengths, skills and goals.
  • Use appropriate assessment tools and methods to assess strengths and areas of development, in order to identify suitable intervention strategies.
  • Be able to deliver therapy in a variety of environments, e.g. centre based, schools/preschools, group homes, homes and via telehealth.
  • Demonstrate and embody Northcott values; ‘innovative, respectful and brave’.
  • Contribute proactively to the ongoing development of professional knowledge and skills within the Speech Pathology profession.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology.
  • Current SPA registration
  • Experience delivering evidence based therapy to a paediatric, adolescent and/or adult caseload.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and administrative responsibilities in an autonomous, efficient and effective manner.
  • An understanding of the NDIS framework and working within a fee for service model is desired.
  • Be able to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • NDIS Worker Check & WWCC (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR) or willingness to obtain.
