What you'll be doing
- Chronic and Complex (CAC) Allied Health services focus on restoring, improving, or maintaining older people’s independent functioning and wellbeing.
- The focus of these services is assisting older people to regain or maintain physical, functional and cognitive abilities which support them to either maintain or recover a level of independence, allowing them to remain living in the community.
- This position works as a member of a Chronic and Complex multidisciplinary team and are expected to work from different locations across WSLHD as reasonably required.
- CAC Speech Pathologists are responsible for the assessment, intervention/treatment and education of quality Speech Pathology intervention for clients with complex, aged and chronic issues residing within the Western Sydney Local Health District to facilitate improvements in both swallowing and communication.

Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience and skills in Speech Pathology dysphagia and communication assessment, planning and evaluating interventions for clients with chronic and complex health conditions.
- Demonstrated understanding of the health and associated care needs of persons with complex, chronic and/or aged conditions residing in the community.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of relevant evidence based, best practice guidelines to guide decision making for best client outcomes.
- High-level written and oral communication skills, computer competence and ability to use electronic medical records, word processing and database
- Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary team.
- Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia
