Speech Pathologist

We are looking for a passionate and engaging Speech Pathologistto join our team in Chatswood.

The opportunity:

• Provide evidence-based assessment and therapy to a mixed paediatric caseload including administering assessments, providing direct and indirect intervention, liaising with families, teachers, professionals and support staff;
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment to deliver quality, evidence-based outcomes;
• Use our therapy journey to establish goals, therapy plans and maximise your clinical effectiveness, seeing a maximum of four clients per day;
• Therapy may be one-on-one or groups, with focus on evidence-based and innovative practice;
• Services are provided in our fantastic clinic space, client homes, schools and via telehealth;

• Work closely with key stakeholders and ensure ongoing communication, coaching, modelling and support are provided to ensure quality therapy services and supports;

• Learn and contribute to your peers’ development, including experienced OTs, SLPs, AHAs and Psychologists through joint sessions, supervision, shadowing and therapy resource development;
• Ensure a focus on continuous improvement through participation in our comprehensive professional development program, regular meetings, training sessions and career development plans.

What do you need to join?

• Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and full, current SPA registration;
• A desire to work in a multi-disciplinary environment with other allied health professionals including Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Allied Health Assistants;
• Exceptional communication skills that enable you to work in a culturally rich and diverse environment and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment;
• Effective time management and attention to detail;
• Experience in working with children and/or disability and confidence in your role with children and their parents;
• Compliance – AHPRA Registration, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS workers screening check, First Aid Training, Driver’s License & Vehicle.
