AddressThe position includes teaching students within the clinical caseload of caring for adult outpatients of Lower Hunter Sector (LHS) Speech Pathology at the Cessnock or Kurri Kurri Hospital sites, as well as inpatients within the Kurri Kurri Rehabilitation Unit. VFSS, or Videofluroscopic Study of Swallowing, is accessible at the Maitland and Cessnock Hospitals.
In handling adult outpatient clients of LHS Speech Pathology, the selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Senior Speech Pathologists on Site, as well as the specialised Adult Outpatient Clinician. Continuous clinical assistance from Maitland Hospital's student Unit Practice Educator and site Senior Speech Pathologists. Canidate will also be able to network and receive direct assistance from the Speech Pathology faculty at the University of Newcastle.

- Our successful candidate will work with a Supportive network of adult and paediatric Speech Pathologists in the Lower Hunter Sector, and broader Allied Health Team at Cessnock and Kurri Kurri Hospitals.
- This is an opportunity to work for the largest local health district in NSW which services a population of more than 900,000 across the Hunter, New England and Lower Mid North Coast areas.
About you:
Our ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Strong adult Speech Pathology clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Interest and experience in provision of supervision to undergraduate students or less experienced staff.
- Strong time management, problem solving skills and flexibility to adapt to a busy caseload and student learning and support needs.

Requirements:
- A Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology which provides eligibility for membership of Speech pathology Australia.
