- $91,222 pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
(increasing to $94,415 effective 1 July 2024) Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 5 of EBA5 - 9 day fortnight
- 72.5 hour fortnight
- Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days

About our opportunity
We are looking for a Sport and Recreation Development Officer to join our dynamic team at Strathpine!
In this administrative role, you will collaborate with Sport and community organisations to:
- facilitate the planning, funding and delivery of new infrastructure.
- enhance systems, processes, structures etc. to improve operations.
- provide assistance in helping organisations achieve optimal participation.
- deliver quality customer service and respond to enquiries as they arise.
To build and maintain positive working relationships, you would be expected to be active across the community…meeting with Sport and community organisations weekly to help them succeed!
As a senior member of our team, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to some of our key capital projects such as new clubhouses and sports field upgrades!
About you
You will bring your extensive experience of the community, Sport and Recreation industry to support effective operations of organisations across the City. You will have the ability to identify needs of the community to support the delivery of capital and operational projects.
As an effective communicator, you will have highly developed communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, to deliver quality service to our community.
We have a large and fun team, so it is important that you enjoy working as part of fast paced team and are willing to contribute to a positive work environment!
Successful candidates will possess a tertiary qualification in social science or sports management (eg. Bachelor of Business Sport Management).
