Hervey Bay Regional Gallery is a public gallery funded and operated by Fraser Coast Regional Council as a community cultural development service. Along with delivering a program featuring diverse, nationally significant artists, Hervey Bay Regional Gallery is committed to supporting the professional development of artists, promoting significant aspects of the region, encouraging community participation in Gallery activities, fostering curatorial practice, and encouraging a healthy and sustainable local arts industry.
What we are looking for:
We’re looking for an Audience Development Officer to support our Gallery Director in delivering events and public programmes that reach the diverse communities of the Fraser Coast. You’ll be involved in digital marketing promotions with the aim of increasing engagement.
The role will involve:
- Planning and delivering public programmes that enhance visitor interpretation
- Cultivating relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Developing content for website, social media, and email channels
- Identifying promotional strategies that will target local and visitor audiences
- Facilitating educator engagement initiatives
- Providing customer service and information to visitors and guests

What you should have to apply:
You’ll have worked in a similar role in an arts, cultural or related field and with a focus on events. You’ll have experience producing targeted content and will have a strong understanding of marketing techniques and trends within the industry. Your strong communication skills, both written and verbal, will set you up for success.
You’ll have:
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Proven experience meeting deadlines and working across multiple projects
- Strong relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
