The Apprentice and Traineeship Company (ATC) are looking to appoint an Enthusiastic Health and Physical Education Assistant commencing in Term 1 2024. The HPE Assistant is a busy role that is critical in supporting the students and teachers in the Health and Physical Education learning area
The successful applicant will complete a Certificate III in Sport and Recreation throughout this 12 month appointment.

Duties and Responsibilities
- You will be assisting with supervision and coaching of Year 7-12 students across multiple disciplines in Sport, Physical Education and Outdoor Education lessons (Under class teacher supervision)
- Assist with the Maintenance and auditing of the sports storeroom .
- Help organise repairs and replacement of equipment, as well as cleaning and storing of uniforms.
- Assist with distribution and return of equipment, uniforms and first aid kits.
- Help setting up gyms/venues for sports classes and events
- Follow up staff/students within the school with required information as necessary for upcoming events.
- Assistance and Attendance of special events (eg athletics, swimming carnival, cross country and sporting carnivals.)
- Assist in the supervision of daily Outdoor Education Lessons, excursions and events including interschool teams and Outdoor Education camps.
- Assist in the running and organisation of the school athletic carnival.
- ICT related tasks such as data entry to databases, promotion of school and report on events to the school notice boat and year book
- Assist with administration duties as required
- Other Duties as directed by Head of Health and Physical Education.

- High levels of initiative and ability to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the HHPE Team
- Expertise in It and use of Microsoft Office Software
- Flexibility to attend school events/camps when required
- High level of professional conduct and organisational skills
- High level of enthusiasm and commitment to Outdoor Activities including canoeing, Snorkeling, Mountain biking and a variety of sports
- Enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.
- Working with Children check
- Police Clearance
Highly Desired:
- Surf Life Saving Community Surf rescue Qualification or higher
- Apply First Aid Qualification
