ABOUT THE ROLE
Working closely with the Sports & Recreation Manager Metro Melbourne and reporting to the Senior Sports Coordinator West Metro Melbourne, the Reclink Sports Coordinator will deliver existing and establish new sport and recreation programs and sessions, with a focus on getting younger people (15 to 25) active in Melton. The work within this region is funded through partners including the Victorian Government and VicHealth.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role you will need:
- qualification from a recognised TAFE / University including certificate level 3 Diploma or Degree in Sport and Recreation, Community Development or similar and/or
minimum of two years’ experience in delivering services / programs in Sport and Recreation, Community Development, Health and Wellbeing or Youth .
- understanding of and experience in administrative support systems.
- high level of verbal and written communication skills.
- proven ability to communicate effectively with and deliver successful programs to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, women and girls.
- demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with government and partner agencies, community organisations and service providers.
- demonstrated ability to work harmoniously and constructively in a team setting with minimal supervision.
- proven ability to take the initiative, work independently, honestly and respectfully with diverse individuals and groups.
- good level of IT knowledge (inc Microsoft Office, online conferencing, social media and promotion).
- demonstrated ability to be highly organised with the capacity to work effectively within tight time constraints.
You will stand out if you have:
- Previous experience delivering programs to women and girls.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by diverse communities, women and girls participating in sport.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships within community networks.
- Experience in delivering Sport and Recreation sessions as a coach, teacher, or instructor.

This is maximum term appointment commencing immediately working 38 hrs per week as a full-time employee with an end date 31st December 2024. A competitive remuneration will be paid at SCHaDS Level 3.1 plus superannuation with the option to increase your income through salary packaging.
