About the role
This is an ideal local opportunity for a positive and motivated person to join our team and work on the City of Swan’s maintenance programs in weed control. It requires a qualified, experienced and multi-skilled person who can work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment, to deliver a high standard of service to the community.
This position will perform a diverse range of tasks as set by Programmes and direct supervisor, associated with City Wide Weed Control, including kerb line, footpath, cycle paths and median spraying, broad acre spraying and spraying of firebreaks, along with general maintenance tasks as required.
Responsibilities include:
Complete all work in a safe and efficient manner having regard to own safety, the public’s safety and that of other workers
Ensure you and your team deliver outstanding customer service and be community minded with a willingness to improve the quality of life for our community.
Operate and maintain all associated plant in accordance with Safe Working Practices, City Policy and Procedures.
Undertake herbicide treatments in highly sensitive areas with applications in accordance with manufactures specifications
About you
For this position you will require;
Chemical Certificate – (AQTF Level 3)
MR class Motor Vehicle Licence (Manual)
Safety Awareness Training Certificate (White Card)
A satisfactory National Police Certificate is required.

The salary for this position will be from $65,655 to $66,480 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
