About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity to support our Technology team as a Sr. Project Manager - Project/Release based in Australia. The Sr. Project Manager is accountable for project and release management of technology projects to APAC market. They will work closely with in-country/regional/global business, vendor, technology and cross-functional teams to successfully manage and deliver consumer facing technology projects pertaining to eCommerce, self-order kiosks, digital menu board, integrations, loyalty, and other evolving technologies by adopting project management methodologies such as waterfall and/or agile. The Sr. Project Manager will also liaise with internal/external stakeholders to plan for the release of project/deliverables, lead the go-live activities to ensure successful rollout.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Drive successful completion of assigned technology projects in the region, working with in-country/global teams, vendors, portfolio manager and the PMO. Manage project budgets & resource allocations.
Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects. Assess and resolve all high priority project risks as they are encountered. Ensure all projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the company.
Provide regular guidance and support to the project and/or delivery team to ensure the team is informed, on-track and will deliver tasks successfully.
Ensure all projects meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in business case. May manage multiple complex projects/products simultaneously that cross different business units and/or companies. Responsible for overall project success, business objectives, project budget and ROI.
Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/ project or Sprint goals.
Plan the release of project deliverables/release life cycle and provide regular updates to internal/external stakeholders. Manage escalations.
Communicate the project release tasks such as plans, timelines, requirements, etc. between different teams including support functions and serve as a single point of contact for release activities.
Schedule the release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release.
Understand and manage cultural differences and work closely with the regional/global team to meet the demands.
Qualifications (some examples listed below):
Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, or CS
Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience with 6+ years of project management experience
Agile/Scrum certifications
Proficient with the Project and Portfolio Management Tools (Visio, MS Project, Clarity, SmartSheet etc.)
Understanding of software development lifecycles (i.e., Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative)
Technical background working for QSR industry in consumer facing projects like eCommerce, self-order kiosks, digital menu board, integrations, loyalty is preferred.
Skilled in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ALM tools such as TFS or Jira.
Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment.
Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
In depth understanding of project management concepts.
Exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to digest and explain complex issues in ways non-technical people can understand; ability to distill complexity into simple points.
An ability to cultivate and build collaborative working relationships with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders.
