Not your usual SRMO role! A new role created to support the department and to help develop their senior Residents transition towards becoming a Registrar. Junior doctors who have an interest in Emergency Medicine and a strong clinical background are encouraged to apply!
As an SRMO you will provide emergency care to patients attending the Emergency Department (ED), where you will be supported and encouraged to develop and grow throughout the working year as SRMO within ED. If you choose to continue a career in Emergency Medicine, this time fulfills the ED placement criteria to apply to ACEM and we support our doctors wishing to apply to the college. As an SRMO, you'll enjoy more autonomy without managerial duties, while being supported by on-site FACEM coverage from 0700 to 00:30 every day, with overnight consultant on call. During night shifts, Registrars handle supervisory responsibilities. Their flexible rostering ensures a healthy work-life balance, including provisions for part-time schedules.
