Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical practitioners eligible for registration in New South Wales for the above position within the Department of Sexual Health, Central Coast Local Health District CCLHD.
Applicants should be a Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine and / or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialist (State) Award.
Central Coast is comprised of the twin areas of Gosford and Wyong, positioned between Sydney and Newcastle, which are collectively expected to grow from the current approximate 300,000 to 450,000 population before 2030. The Local Health District has strong connections with both Royal North Shore Hospital and the University of Newcastle.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Staff Specialist (State) Award.

1. Medical Practitioner registered or able to be registered in Australia, inclusive of an unrestricted 19AB exempted provider number.
2. Medical Practitioner with recognised specialist qualifications such as Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine or recognised equivalent.
3. Appropriate knowledge and recent clinical experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in sexual health medicine.
4. Demonstrated ability to adapt practice in accordance with contemporary evidence-based best practice.
5. Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, advanced communication skills and ability to work constructively and effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and with a wide range of stakeholders.
6. Demonstrated willingness and ability to lead and provide clinical supervision including the ability to provide education, vision and research.
7. Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and experience in initiating and implementing changes to improve clinical service delivery and outcomes, models of care, evidence based practice and practice development.
8. Demonstrated commitment to Caring for the Coast vision, goals and strategies, with demonstrated behaviours which align with the NSW Health CORE values and CCLHD Values and behaviours charter.
