About the role
- Provide Specialist Rehabilitation clinical services and medical leadership in the Geriatric and Rehabilitation Services Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS)
- To supervise/oversee one medical admitting team.
- To improve the current services that the Geriatric and Rehabilitation Services provides to STARS, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) and Metro North Health (MNH).
- Supervise and educate undergraduates and postgraduates in the service.
- Leadership of multidisciplinary teams involved in the care of patients who are under the responsibility of this position.
- To assist the Clinical Director to manage the resources of the service to best meet clinical workload and financial targets.
- To actively participate in quality assurance and continuing education.
- To assist the Clinical Director with the administration and day to day running of the Geriatric and Rehabilitation Services.
- To initiate or assist with the establishment of new services. Participation in the implementation and evaluation of new and existing services.
- To initiate and assist with new research projects in Rehabilitation medicine.

- Previous training and experience in Rehabilitation Medicine. Experience in Tertiary level inpatient and outpatient care is desirable.
