Requisition ID: REQ498996Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist in Respiratory Medicine to join our team at Canterbury Hospital !We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Respiratory Medicine. The primary purpose of the role of Staff Specialist in Respiratory Medicine is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Respiratory Medicine, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Canterbury Hospital General Medicine Department and wider hospital as required.The Staff Specialist in Respiratory Medicine will provide clinical management and treatment of patients with respiratory illnesses, in particular in working with a multidisciplinary team to maintain and promote the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) service. They will be a member of the Department of General Medicine, and may also participate on the General Medicine on-call roster.The Staff Specialist in Respiratory Medicine will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.The successful applicant will be Registered or eligible for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognised qualifications in Respiratory Medicine and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.For enquiries about the position, please contact Mona Marabani via email atApplications are accepted via eCredential ONLY.
