- You are a highly experienced C# engineer with a track record of delivering challenging and complex technical solutions.

Do work that matters
As a Staff Systems Engineer you will be using your strong C# skills and AWS development experience to enhance our cloud hosting platform, adding support for new AWS services required by our consumers.
You will be responsible for the engineering of new services, from the solution design and development, through to production rollout.
Your work will add new AWS capabilities to our platform, which will enable our internal development teams to build solutions that delight our customers.
We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in office. See yourself in our team
You'll be working in a squad with other engineers, reporting to a Chapter Lead in the Cloud Hosting Crew.
You will drive important initiatives, being responsible for the technical design, development, and rollout of key enhancements to our cloud delivery platform. You will ensure that services are implemented so that solutions are resilient, secure, and fit for purpose.
You will be a strong advocate for best practice, capable of challenging and being challenged, to deliver the best technical solutions for our customers.
We're interested in hearing from people who:
- Have a strong application development background in C# .Net Core and Web API.
- Have hands on AWS experience, including configuring and consuming AWS infrastructure such as EC2, ECS, ELB, IAM and AWS Database services.
- Can drive initiatives, investigating the options, gaining support for recommendations, and delivering the outcome.
- Are passionate about building resilient, secure, cloud solutions on AWS.
- Understand the complexity and challenges delivering scalable, secure cloud solutions in an enterprise setting.
- Understand the importance of observability, metrics, and cost management in relation to solution design on AWS.
- Solid experience and knowledge of Databases (relational and non-relational) would be advantageous.
Tech skills:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these, or a willing to learn these skillsets, (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team!
The hiring teams are willing to train you on skills that are necessary to perform the job. We are open to considering candidates who are willing to learn with a "go-getter" attitude!
