Salary Range: $80,535 - $86,909 (PN: 66023, Several)
Details: The ACT Electoral Commission is seeking to enhance the operational capacity of Elections ACT to ensure that the high levels of public confidence and satisfaction in the integrity and quality of electoral services in the ACT continue into the 2024 election.
To achieve this Elections ACT is seeking two motivated Staffing Assistants to work within a small Human Resources team to assist with recruiting and employing casual staff for the 2024 election.
Elections ACT employs up to 600 casual staff under Section 32 of the Electoral Act 1992 for the preparation and conduct of the election. The Staffing Assistants will provide administrative support to the staffing manager in the coordination of staff for early voting centres and static polling centres.
Staff of Elections ACT are expected to be proactive, demonstrate high quality customer service and show the capacity to work well within a small team. They must be willing to continuously improve, be outcome focused and accountable for their actions. It is important for the successful applicants to understand and work within the ACTPS Code of Conduct and ACTPS and Elections ACT values of respect, integrity, collaboration, innovation, independence, impartiality and accountability, and model behaviour consistent with the ACTPS Respect, Equity and Diversity framework.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: As an Electoral Officer the person occupying this position will be required to perform duties on election and referendum days and weekends. Please note that this position is predominantly based within the office of Elections ACT. Working from home arrangements can be approved on an ad hoc basis.
Note: There are Two temporary positions available, one for up to seven months and the other for up to five months.
