Stakeholder Engagement Manager – Job Description

The Stakeholder Engagement Manager role within Alligator Energy will be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of communication, indigenous and Stakeholder Engagement strategies and plans. This role will guide and assist in the effective management of stakeholder information and engagement needs of the organisation’s mine development, exploration and infrastructure projects and programs.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Coordinate and provide support in the delivery of events, workshops, and community consultation activities to maximise community engagement outcomes and feedback including stakeholder information; community consultation; internal communication; issues management.
• Management of all stakeholder queries, issues, and registers of communication, including development projects and exploration.
• Provide support to specific project work streams and provide advice on community and stakeholder relations.
• Provide advice and guidance on community and stakeholder relations, including liaising with other functional areas and external agencies.
• Assist in the development of advice as required, including assistance in the preparation of government department and ministerial responses, responses to parliamentary questions, briefing notes and/or other reports.
• Write and coordinate the preparation, production, and release of public information, including newsletters, project updates, corporate brochures and more.
• Effectively Coordinate project-specific Stakeholder Engagement, build and support project leaders in maintaining key relationships with stakeholders relevant to each project.
• Develop an overall community engagement strategy for the Samphire Uranium Project region and surrounds, including political input, Government reporting and recommendations where appropriate.  This will cover project aims over the short to longer term, including into production.
• Identification, engagement, and direct liaison with the Whyalla community.  In particular, planning, actions and support for the required community engagement, meetings and documentation for the planned field recovery trial (FRT).
• Development and / or maintenance of a Stakeholder Relations Matrix or register which captures the key stakeholders, and allows for identification of key engagement areas, material concerns and any required action.
• Support and recommendations to the COO and CEO in regard to indigenous engagement where and when needed, and direct communications and engagement as agreed.
• Input and recommendations into Alligator Energy documents, including Quarterly reports, Samphire project ASX releases, Investor presentations, Annual Reports and specific ESG reporting inclusive of engagement information.
• On occasion, review and advice on confidential evaluation of external projects and assets.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area
• Demonstrated ability to use initiative and maintain a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, and judgement while maintaining a strong customer service approach.
• Proven experience managing multiple external stakeholders combined with sound experience in managing project communications.
• Experience in developing communications plans involving stakeholder consultation and engagement.
• Demonstrated achievement in the development and implementation of innovative communications, issues management, information provision and stakeholder and community engagement strategies
• Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and contribute to implementation of projects
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with a strong focus on delivering excellence in customer experience.
• The ability to manage competing deadlines and actively prioritise work to ensure a proactive approach.
• Strong organisational skills which support the development and delivery of community engagement projects.
• An ability to build and maintain personable and professional relationships with all stakeholders.
• Team orientated and collaborative approach to achieve high quality outcomes for our stakeholders.
