Role Purpose/Context:
The Project and Stakeholder Engagement Manager works within the Corporate Services team and their remit is to collaborate with the South Australian Space Industry Centre to deliver a manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing facility for the state’s space companies. This will require the successful applicant to establish and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders, contractors and suppliers through effective consultation and collaboration. They will lead the go-to-market efforts for required suppliers and contractors for the State’s space common user facility, based on industry and government consultation, and in line with SA Government procurement processes.
Key selection criteria:
- Project Management methodology and applied practice
- Project budget management
- Technical knowledge of hardware and manufacturing infrastructure in the defence, space or advanced manufacturing sector
- Experience in leading and managing complex projects with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work with procurement professionals to support procurement frameworks/processes, policy and legislation, and audit regulations
- Ability to work with procurement, legal professionals to support tender evaluation, contract negotiation, and contract management practices
- Ability to negotiate best outcomes for State Government in complex projects
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills that develop successful relationships and networks and achieve shared objectives
- Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, and liaise with a broad range of people
- Ability to prepare and present complex information, documents, briefings and reports clearly and accurately
- Demonstrated ability to work under limited direction, and work collaboratively as part of a team, exercising judgment in the planning, scheduling and prioritising of work activities to achieve objectives within required timeframes
- Experience in delivering complex projects via project management methodology within budget and timeframe and to prepare high quality, concise documents, correspondence and reports.
- Co-ordination of project elements including procurement of goods and services, budget and negotiations with contractors and suppliers
- Experience in the defence, space or advanced manufacturing sector would be desirable
- Ability to work under pressure to deliver outcomes by required deadlines.

Special Conditions
This is a contract position of up to 24 months. The incumbent is required to enter into a performance agreement. Work outside of normal hours may be required and the position may require interstate travel involving overnight absences.
Desirable Qualifications
