The role 

The Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships Officer plays a pivotal role in fostering robust relationships between WAPHA and its diverse stakeholders, both internal and external. They are responsible for ensuring WAPHA's engagement practices align with industry standards, facilitating productive collaborations and informed decision-making. This entails coordinating projects and activities aimed at enhancing Stakeholder Engagement strategies and maintaining integrity in communication processes. Moreover, the Officer oversees WAPHA's strategic partnerships and memberships, serving as a key liaison and ensuring seamless communication channels. By leveraging tools such as WAPHA's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, they streamline stakeholder interactions and maintain accurate records. Additionally, the Officer provides support and training to internal teams on engagement frameworks and tools, while also managing engagement activities and advisory panels. 

This role will be offered as a full-time Maximum-term contract for 18 months and offers the flexibility to work from home and office with a possibility of extension. 

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work with the Senior Manager Stakeholder Engagement to set the parameters, definitions, and priorities for WAPHA’s strategic partnerships;
  • Act as the point of contact in relation to strategic partnerships and memberships held by WAPHA; 
  • Action and maintain an up-to-date management plan for WAPHA Organisational Members;
  • Utilise and promote WAPHA’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform as an enabler of stakeholder mapping;
  • Maintain accurate contact data and engagement records for Organisational Members, WAPHA memberships and priority Peak Bodies in WAPHA’s Stakeholder Relationship Management platform;
  • Prepare briefing notes and reports to WAPHA Executive and Board as required.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on WAPHA’s Stakeholder Engagement Framework and associated tools.
  • Develop and maintain tools and templates to keep relevant for use by WAPHA teams and external stakeholders in relation to partnerships and memberships.
  • Facilitate engagement activities internally and externally. 
  • Coordinate and administer Stakeholder Advisory Panels and Reference Groups as required.

About you

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:

Essential experience and education 

  • Tertiary qualification in related field.
  • Sound experience working within Stakeholder Engagement systems, process, and practices. 
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to connect and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • High level of computer and digital literacy including proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications – word, excel, OneNote, and teams; SharePoint.
  • Proven ability to resolve problems, maintain confidentiality and adaptability to varying systems and processes. 

Preferred knowledge and skills

  • Health Industry knowledge and experience
  • IAP2 Certification or similar facilitation and engagement certification.
  • Experience utilising a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
