Stapylton based Operations Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Full Time Operations Supervisor based out of Stapylton.

The successful applicant should possess a sound understanding in fatigue management, mass and load management on heavy vehicles, proven experience in managing a medium sized team and proven experience in a similar transport operations role. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced operations office environment is also ideal.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Oversee safety and security for all vehicles and site.
• Complete yard checks of fleet / equipment with report and document damages, cleanliness of vehicles, safety standards
• Support Transport Manager/ Leadership Team
• Complete compliance checks and approve run sheets and working hours for Local Drivers
• Ability to deliver a high level of customer service by building strong relationships with key staff at the Distribution Centre. 
• Liaise with customers on freight, pickup and deliveries.
• Ensure all team members are compliant and fit for duty before commencement of shift!
• Ability to engage with staff on a proactive level and communicate up any challenges effectively.
• Must be a team player, you are not a number with us you are part of our team.
• Long Term stability for the right people and opportunity to grow with the organisation.
• On occasion you may be required to cover a run so you will need to have an MC license to be successful in this role. 
• Strong understanding of refrigerated Transport is preferable but not essential.
