What you'll do:

  • Lead a team of Safety professionals and support the consistent implementation of SH&W initiatives across our NSW Distribution Centres.

  • Demonstrating and drive the overall Woolworths Group purpose and SH&W ambition. The role will navigate and manage operationally and functionally complex environments.

  • Drive ongoing continuous improvement through deployment of SH&W initiatives, using data and insights, root cause analysis and identifying corrective actions.

  • Ensure the delivery of our Woolworths Safety Strategy, with key focuses on material/critical risk, effective safety management systems, complex incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Support the Primary Connect and wider Woolworths business to achieve the self insurance requirements though effective Safety Management Systems
  • Monitor, track and advise the business on meeting SH&W legislative requirements in relation to Primary Connect
  • Development of strong internal and external working relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators where necessary
  • Monitor and report on SH&W performance including emerging trends across our end to end supply chain

What you'll bring:

  • Strong safety, health and wellbeing background, with multi-site leadership experience
  • Bachelor degree, preferably in Safety or related field
  • Highly desirable is experience with critical/material risk management, plant and equipment related safety requirements, automation, chain of responsibility, warehousing and road transport, contractor management, assurance and verification, psychological and behavioural safety
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders to achieve positive safety, health and wellbeing outcomes
  • Strong track record of delivery and execution of safety, health and wellbeing programmes and initiatives across multi-site operations.
  • Previous team management, leadership and development experience
