THE ROLE
Due to recent growth our client is looking for a QLD State Manager - Building Surveying. Ideally you will be based in Brisbane. The State Managers primary duty involves ensuring the delivery of the company's services to clients. In order to fulfill this duty, they will be tasked with leading a group of technical personnel, with administrative support provided by a dedicated team. The Admin Team Leader will be reporting into to the QLD Manager.
In time after a successful integration the next step will be adding an operations manager to help manage the day to day processes and ad hoc tasks consisting of the successful running of a medium sized Building Surveying firm.
DUTIES
- Provide advice on the BCA and building regulatory matters to a range of clients
- Assess plans and building design documentation for compliance with the BCA and Australian Standards, and Development Application (DA)
- Preparation and issue of Building Approvals and Building Commencement Notices.
- Undertake stage and final inspections for projects
- Manage project documentation and archiving.
- Verify and accept design certifications
- Mentoring and training of team
- Client service delivery
- Take proactive measures to support, empower, and enable staff members to excel in their roles.
- Work collaboratively with marketing, business development, and human resources management to align efforts and achieve strategic objectives.
ABOUT YOU
- Be licenced in QLD as a level 1 building surveyor
- Strong BCA knowledge
- Commercial Building Surveying experience
- Be able to lead a team or be open to stepping up
