About your new role
As the Manager Community Buildings Planning andAsset Management, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of assets ensuring effective compliance and Asset Management, capital works, maintenance Planning and specification of strategic projects.
You will lead and inspire your team of 30 staff and work with community assets including HOTA, major sporting venues, community centres, libraries, aquatic centres, off-street parking facilities, libraries, cemeteries, clubs and leased buildings.
This is an exceptional opportunity to bring your proven management and leadership skills to lead and engage a team and strategically implement community building Planning and Asset Management business unit initiatives.

We're looking for people who have:
- Bachelor Degree of Engineering/Asset Management or equivalent knowledge.
- Qualifications in Business Management (desired).
- Substantial industry knowledge and experience at a senior level in asset lifecycle management.
- Experience in financial management and budget development and control to ensure cost-effective results with significant Asset Management financial responsibilities.
- Ability to provide strategic advice and solutions for Asset Management planning to ensure portfolio and program deliverability.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to manage a multi-disciplined team of professionals, with the ability to clearly and influentially articulate a vision and encourage, support, and mentor others.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation, oral and written communication skills inclusive of a highly collaborative work style to work closely with other asset planners and delivery areas.
- Comprehensive knowledge of statutory requirements, policies and procedures relevant to the position.
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions and strategies that improve business outcomes and resolve challenges in a complex environment.
