Job description

Our client, an innovative, agile, and progressive Australian family-owned and operated business, is seeking a motivated individual to fulfil the role of State Manager in Sydney.

The State Manager is required to lead, manage, and participate in the achievement of the Company’s vision and State strategy alignment to ensure targets are achieved, whilst ensuring the company quality and service standards are achieved. Of importance is the requirement to develop a team culture aligned with the business values and code of conduct.

The Ideal background and experience of the successful candidate would be a person who has a strong background in sales and manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will have exceptional leadership and data analytics skills.

Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager of Australia and New Zealand, this role is responsible for executing National strategies in line with the company vision and budget expectations. 

Key Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Provide leadership to the organisation and particularly within Sydney to achieve profitable growth in alignment with set budgets and the company’s vision and values.
  • Build effective relationships within the Company and with key stakeholders to foster an all-encompassing, one direction business.
  • Cultivate new business opportunities within new and existing clients and attend to all key accounts personally to ensure continued profitable growth and relationship satisfaction.
  • Manage the Sydney Operational Team to achieve operational efficiency, inventory, and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Manage the Account Sales Team to achieve annual sales budgets and execute sales strategies for future growth.
  • Ensure all advertising, sales, promotional material, and in-store displays are aligned with established strategies and brand standards, and ensure their effectiveness are monitored.
  • Monitor market trends and advise management of changes in competition, product availability or related matters.
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, and training of state-based employees to ensure the personnel requirements meet business needs.
  • Identify future leaders and establish succession plans.
  • Adhere to, and promote the company’s Code of Conduct, WHS and Environmental policies for a safe and enjoyable work environment.
